Silk Painting

I love painting, and would like to share my knowledge, creation, feeling, and ideas with fellow silk painters and friends. I have been painting with different media – oil on canvas, water color, and acrylic – I found myself in love with silk painting. Silk is a fine medium which creates a nice transparent color combination and a vibrant picture. The themes of my paintings are mostly ‘daily life’, people faces, nature and some decorative and cultural elements.

    Hi there, I have recently fallen in love with silk painting.. after years of using acrylic on canvas and other mediums. I am learning by trail and error. I am finding that when I put my gutter lines on and allow to completely dry and then apply the dye.. it still bleeds over (I find I have to re-apply the gutter on top sometimes, making it not look so neat). Do you know why this might be happening? I use Pebeo gutter & Setasilk dye. The painting above.. Is that yours? If so, its fantastic -
